She married the love of her life, Bob Hooks, in 2001, and the greatest joy of Kim’s life was being a mom to the couple’s two boys, Grason and Talen.
Kim was incredibly proud of her roots, graduating from New Castle High School in 1992. She went on to graduate from Clarion University and Slippery Rock University, which prepared her for her life’s calling: teaching. As a special education teacher with George Washington Intermediate School, Kim was devoted to helping her students reach their full potential.
Kim was 39 years old when she passed away on July 5, 2014, following a brief illness. She lives on in the hearts of family and friends, especially her parents, Sandi and Rich Scrim; her sister Rosemary; and brother Tommy.
